Jet2.com celebrated its 100th group booking today from Newcastle International Airport by welcoming its largest ever group to travel from the North East; 83 members of the Tynedale Junior Rugby Football Club took advantage of the airline's low cost flights to Cork to take part in a series of competitive fixtures against their Irish counterparts.

The North's low cost airline is proving very popular with travellers from the area, having recently announced the addition of Tenerife and Bergen to the line-up of destinations served from its Newcastle base. The airline also offers low cost flights to Amsterdam, Cork, Murcia, Menorca and Pisa.

Jason Harvey, Group Sales Manager for Jet2.com said: "Our Group Booking Service has proved hugely popular with customers wanting to travel in large numbers but without the hassle of co-coordinating their friends, team mates, students or colleagues, so it does the hard work for them.

The busy schedule organised for the Under 14 and 15 Tynedale RFC squads over the four days between February 17th and 20th, includes eight fixtures against leading junior regional sides in the West of Ireland, as well as the youngsters and their supporting parents heading to Thomond Park, Limerick for the Celtic League match between Munster and Glasgow.
